Abstract

Objective: This paper presents a case study demonstrating the resolution of systemic lupus erythematosus and numerous other health conditions following chiropractic care utilizing the Pierce Results SystemTM.

Clinical Features:
A 34-year-old female presented to a private practice where a health history and chiropractic examination was performed for the detection of vertebral subluxations. This included the use of infrared thermography, static radiography and video fluoroscopy. Several vertebral subluxation complexes were located. The neutral lateral cervical radiograph revealed loss of cervical lordosis and increased anterior head carriage.

Intervention and Outcomes: The patient received 11 adjustments in the cervical and thoracic spine over the first twelve visits. At the re-examination, the patient’s symptomatology was “much improved” and the patient’s blood work revealed resolution of systemic lupus erythematosus.

Conclusions:
The results of this case demonstrate the positive effect of chiropractic care on systemic lupus erythematosus utilizing the Pierce Results SystemTM.
