Abstract


A perceived tendency of limited significance being placed on case reports is challenged in this presentation. The importance of pragmatic case reports at the coalface of clinical practice is necessary rather than cede to a laboratory model of evidential hierarchy. A review of the supporting literature for the greater acknowledgement and integration of case reports is discussed.
