Chapter 15 Preview:

As a doctor of chiropractic, the practitioner attempts to take into account the multitude of factors that influence, positively and negatively, human physiology and adaptability.  Although the art of chiropractic, that is, the  way in which  the chiropractic adjustment is performed, may have  many  different methods of delivery; the  ultimate intent of care is focused on the  improvement of bodily function via the  nervous system.

 The  understanding is  that by  improving the  biomechanical function and the  alignment of the  spinal column, thereby reducing and/or  correcting aberrant  nervous system function, the  potential for the  body to  adapt to  the  ever  changing environment that surrounds and  encompasses it is enhanced.
